The Gospel is the GOOD NEWS about Jesus.
Jesus is the most famous person in all of human history. More songs have been sung to him, artwork created of him, and books written about him than anyone who’s ever lived. Even our calendar is based off his life, dividing time before and after him. At Harvest, we’re all about Jesus—and the only way to really get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him.
The Gospel is that God himself has come to rescue us through Jesus.
Understanding the Gospel
G God created us to be with him. (Genesis 1-2)
O Our sin separated us from God. (Genesis 3)
S Sins cannot be removed by good deeds. (Genesis 4 - Malachi 4)
P Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again. (Matthew - Luke)
E Everyone who trusts in him alone has eternal life. (John - Jude)
L Life that's eternal means we will be with Jesus forever in heaven. (Revelation 22:5)
Responding to the Gospel
How to Make a Faith Commitment:
In a prayerful moment, turn your life over to the care and control of Jesus Christ.
Jesus, I believe that you are God. I believe that you came into the world to rescue me from sin and death.
I believe you died, were buried and rose again, conquering death for me. I accept your free gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Come and lead my life, I want to follow you. Thank you for Loving me! Amen.
