Coronavirus Communication Update

Hey Harvest,

We are living in very interesting/challenging times.  It seems that every day there is a new development, announcement or pronouncement from local, state and federal officials.  I am reminded that we make plans but the Lord’s plans will always prevail.

Proverbs 16:9. The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

There have been so many changes, we are working on a new plan to help us to continue to be a city on a hill, which shines bright in the darkness.

Here are a few Priorities included in the plan:

The Selah Civic Center has contacted us and informed us that they are closed until at least the end of March. We can still gather, but it will look different than it has for the last eleven years. Sundays | Worship together with us Sundays on Facebook LIVE at 10 AM. We will continue “online-only” at a minimum through the end of March. We are about to launch into the next section of Romans in a series called “Pure Grace”.  In this series, you will see that God has a plan and his plan will prevail.  The plan, for now, is to be accompanied by live music, and we will even have times to celebrate communion together.  “Like” our Harvestchurchselah page on Facebook. The sermon will also be available on podcast and video through the App after Sunday.

LifeGroups | We will begin to connect over ZOOM starting next week! |
*Get an account for FREE Here -> | https://zoom.us/ | Stay tuned for more details.

Youth Group | We will be launching the first virtual youth group this Sunday at 6 PM via Zoom.

Prayer Groups | Zoom will also be used for all church prayer gatherings, which can handle 100 participants

GIVE | There are multiple ways for us to continue to be obedient in generosity during this season.

See a Need/Meet a Need - If you have a family member, friend, neighbor or coworker who has a need you can meet… Don’t hesitate to be the hands and feet of Jesus to meet it.  For example, if a neighbor needs food or TP and can’t get out, bring it over and leave it on their doorstep.

Support The Mission:  We have multiple partners locally, nationally and internationally who depend on our monthly support. Help Harvest emerge from this time healthy and strong.

Here are 3 ways to give:
1 Text to Give // text harvestchurch to 1 (888) 364-4483 and follow the prompts
2 Web or App // use your debit or credit card in a secure environment
3 Check // mail to Harvest Community Church, PO Box 245, Selah, WA 98942

GROW |Take ownership of your discipleship. This is a fantastic time to start a Bible reading plan with the Bible App https://www.youversion.com/the-bible-app/.  I love to listen to the Bible in One Year - check it out https://www.bibleinoneyear.org. Take advantage of this time to be intentional about reading, listening, and engaging with content that will feed your soul, foster your desire for God, and deepen your understanding of Him, the Gospel, and who you are in light of what He has done for you!

RightNow Media - This site is loaded with great resources for you, for your kids, grandkids… It works from your computer, tablet, smartphone, Roku, Apple TV and more.

GO ON MISSION | Mission will be more challenging in some regard but with more opportunity to reach people ready to receive the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Love your neighbors well by asking them how you can serve them during this time, particularly the most vulnerable among us. Ask people how you can pray for them or what help they may need. Maintain a peaceful presence on social media. Additionally, simply “share” our posts and/or invite people our join our live gatherings and teachings it is a simple way to put gospel truth where people are at.

During this season we’re going to continue to choose Faith over Fear and Peace over Panic while being responsive to changing circumstances with wisdom as we Trust Jesus!

You ARE Loved,

Pastor Jason
