Relay of Life

May 15, 2011 Series: Genesis: In the Beginning

Topic: Biblical Passage: Genesis 26:1–26:35

Somedays this life feels like a race. The bible compares this life to a race.  We are supposed to "run in such a way as to get the prize" and we are to "run the race marked out for us."  Every generation is expected to run, the previous generation hands off the baton and we are to run hard.  In Genesis 26 we get to observe how Isaac (the son of the promise) ran and learn from him.  The bible records this record for us in order that we might finish  strong and hear at the finish line, "well done, my good and faithful servant."  Run hard.
