Baptism

We Want Everyone
To Know Jesus, Obey Jesus, And Follow Jesus
With All Of Their Hearts

What is Baptism?

Jesus chose baptism as the way his followers would go public with their faith.
Since then, millions of his followers have obeyed his instructions and have publicly let others know
that they have a personal relationship with Jesus. Baptism is the number one way for you to obey Jesus and join with this movement of Jesus followers around the world.
It is important to know that Baptism is not necessary for salvation. It powerfully symbolizes your old life dying (going under the water) and your new life that began when you started following Jesus (coming out of the water).

What We Believe About Baptism

Christians believe that the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when a person places his or her faith
in the death and resurrection of Christ as the payment for his or her sin.

Who Should Be Baptized?

Every follower of Jesus who is ready to identify with him publicly.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, and you are ready to obey and follow him - you're ready.

What about Infant
baptism/christening?

Some churches choose to baptize or christen infants. While we recognize the right of other churches to practice infant christening, we understand Scripture to teach that only people who have made a decision to follow Jesus should be baptized. Baptism does not make you a believer, but it does show that you already are one.
